President & CEO
Brian
founded the Atlantis Company almost two decades ago after serving
for many years as president of a large security company
headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio. He has a Masters Degree in
Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelors Degree in Criminal
Justice from Baldwin Wallace College. He has served as Chair of the
local chapter of the American Society for Industrial Security and is
a current member of ASIS International. In addition, he has
served or is serving in
security capacities as a state task force member, college
instructor, security director, and operations director (many and
various private and public groups, security task forces, and
organizations). Brian is active in the Building Owners and Managers
Association (BOMA).

Kevin
T. Jaite
Senior Vice President, Security Operations
From the very first moment that the Atlantis Company came into
being, Kevin Jaite was there. He set up the first client for
Atlantis and provided direct security services from day one. Kevin
has been instrumental in developing and implementing officer
training and recognition programs for Atlantis personnel, leading to
high levels of client satisfaction. Prior to joining Brian at the
creation of Atlantis, Kevin owned and operated Jaite Systems, Inc.,
a security alarm and closed circuit television security company. His
continuing experience and expertise in these and other specialized
security areas have been appreciated by Atlantis clients. In
addition to several decades of security experience, Kevin has
studied Economics at OSU and Security Administration at Tri-C. He is
an active member of the American Society for Industrial Security,
ASIS International, as well as the Tri-C Law Enforcement Advisory
Committee.

Chris Matejka
Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Chris serves sales & marketing
functions for three Atlantis Companies, acting as a primary point of
contact for new clients for The Atlantis Security Management
Company, Quota Contract Cleaning Services, and Search First
Information Services. In this position Chris supports the existing
client base, and represent Atlantis services to prospective clients
and customers of all three companies.
Chris is an 18 year veteran of Atlantis, working the front
lines in a variety of roles within the companies, from service
provider to trainer to senior division manager, most recently with
Quota Contract Cleaning. With his well-rounded experience of both
sales and operations, “He is the ideal person in this important
role,” said Brian Whitaker, “as no one else has such an in-depth
knowledge of and vantage point on the myriad ways we can serve our
clients.”
In addition, Chris has a vast knowledge of the Award Winning
OS(1) Green Cleaning Program for Quota Contract Cleaning, the
Security Officer Training Programs for Atlantis Security, and
background checks and due diligence investigations for Search First
Information Services.
Most recently, Chris was elected to the BOMA Greater Akron Board of
Directors. Additionally, Chris was chosen as a member of BOMA
Greater Cleveland’s Sustainability Committee.

FACILITY SECURITY AND FIRE/LIFE SAFETY CONSULTANT
Charles
(Chuck) Patten is a US Navy Veteran, Former US Secret
Service Agent, Chief of Police and Corporate Security
Executive with over 30 years of experience including
Corporate Security and Life Safety management, Contract
Security, Security Investigations, Background Screening,
Special Event Security and Law Enforcement. Mr. Patten has a
proven track record of developing innovative Security and
Emergency Response strategies for a wide variety of property
types and business models.

MAJOR
POSITIONS
Chief of
Police:
As a Chief of Police for a small, developing department,
Chuck instituted a full-time officer recruitment program,
developed professional, internal training programs and
policy and procedural guidelines, established a bureau of
investigations, upgraded uniform standards, added tactical
response equipment, opened the department to community
action response by establishing patrol speed and traffic
safety zones and was a key player in the Safety Patrol
education program in the local schools. Chuck was a leading
member of the area Chiefs of Police Association and helped
to develop a program that provided a coordinated, multi
agency emergency response and mutual aid program to insure
quick, local action to critical incidents.
Special Agent:
As a Special Agent with the US Secret Service, in addition
to assigned criminal investigative and undercover duties,
Chuck served as a detail agent for two Presidents and a
President Elect. He was a member of an Agent advance team
for an “around the world tour” of a USSS protectee. He
served as a lead advance Agent during two Presidential
campaign tours, coordinating area law enforcement response
teams, providing threat assessment and logistical guidelines
for a safe security environment in a variety of facility
types: High Rise buildings, airport hangars and terminals,
schools and university campus areas, light and heavy
manufacturing plants, outdoor stadiums, inside arenas, flat
land event sites and developed parade route security plans
through heavily populated urban environments.
Security;
Special Events:
As
a business owner and security consultant Chuck has provided
expert security advice to multiple facility types, delivered
event staff security teams and advisors to concert venues
throughout the US. Chuck served as the security advance
coordinator for, and traveled with, the Cleveland Orchestra
on a world tour. Chuck has provided professional security
advice and planning for multiple, large outdoors concert
events and festivals and served as the primary security
consultant for MCA/Universal and its many outdoor concert
facilities throughout the US and provided security
consulting to House of Blues concert venues.
Security,
Fire/Life Safety; High Rise, Commercial / Manufacturing
Facilities:
As a
Director, National Security for a Fortune 500 company with
over 700 high rise facilities throughout the US, Chuck
established and developed portfolio wide, regional
exception, emergency response plans, security officer
deployment strategies, first- responder /on-site security
interaction protocols, standardized security equipment
guidelines, security contract training and performance
standards and a central security incident, review and after
action report process. This “corporate” experience has
provided Chuck with the personal tools and insight to
understand and work in and with a corporate directed team
environment. Chuck also served as the Director of Security
and Fire/Life Safety for the largest high rise developer and
property management company in Los Angels with direct
authority for two of the largest high rise projects in LA,
including the signature, Library Tower. After 9/11, Chuck
served as a consultant for Vance International providing
threat assessments and security enhancement advice to
high-rise properties, bank operation centers, private
airport hangars, and other critical infrastructures
facilities throughout the US. Chuck has also designed
security systems: CCTV, alarms, DVR’s, for regional bank
branch locations and central operations areas. Chuck has
developed over 40 original security related forms to guide,
audit and evaluate security operations in a variety of
facility types.
Chuck is skilled in facility threat assessment, process
improvement and management of vendor contracts with strong
skills in communicating safety and security needs and
gaining consensus and buy-in from business leaders. He is
detail oriented, an excellent communicator, highly motivated
and able to make decisions in high-pressure situations.
Chuck holds a Top Secret clearance and is a contract Special
Investigator for The Department of Homeland Security, US
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and US Immigration and
Customs Enforcement (ICE)

Specializes in evaluating security
force operational preparedness for both emergency
response, including fire life/safety and day-to-day

Developed a pre-concert briefing sheet, including an evacuation
plan for all staff, a pocket-style post description

Audits security contract against services being
delivered; establish an RFP for new security proposals,
develops and designs security reports and scenario
training formats, prepares emergency procedures,

access control, alarms, communication tools, etc. Will
